OpenPrinter

This command opens the printer device. It is not necessary to use this command since that it is done automatically whenever you print. But, if you are running under a multitasking shell like Windows or DesqView, it will reserve the printer for your task.

If the printer is locked, or if you have specified a file name that can't be created, the variable FileResult will contain the DOS error code (usually 5 for access denied). A FileResult of 0 indicates success.
